JOURNEY EAST HAMPTON, USA
STAY
Journey East Hampton, USA
I’ve always wanted to visit the Hamptons and this recently re-done hotel in East Hampton is making me want to book a trip right now! This 25 room hotel encapsulates what I think a small hotel in the Hamptons should look like - simple, uncluttered, charming, stylish and with a subtle ‘beach feel’ to it.
The décor consists of lovely cream panelled walls, wooden flooring, mid century furniture, comfy sofas, throws and cushions. I love the calming colour palette of cream, tan, navy, white and blue, and the individual artworks in the shared living spaces and bedrooms that offer pops of bright colour.
It’s roughly a mile to the closest beach from here for a swim in the Atlantic ocean - why not make use of the free hotel bikes to get there a little quicker and explore the local area? For those happy to stay closer to home, there’s a lovely saltwater pool and plenty of sun lounges and umbrellas to enjoy the day poolside.
On the weekends they offer yoga in the garden, and there are plenty of lawn games such as bocce to keep guests of all ages occupied. The hotel doesn’t have a restaurant, however rates include breakfast and there is a lobby bar for an early evening drink, as well as snacks and fresh fruit available for guests.
All of the reviews that I’ve read about this hotel talk about the comfy beds, welcoming and attentive staff, and the great style and attention to detail. Journey East Hampton - here I come!
