HOTEL PROVIDENCE, PARIS

Paris will always hold a very special place in my heart. It was the first stop on my maiden journey to Europe many years ago and oh how it blew my mind with its incredible beauty and charm! Paris was also where my boyfriend (now husband) proposed to me, so this city holds many happy memories of being young and in love without a care in the world. In later years we’ve spent time there with our children enjoying the simple pleasures of this city - riding bikes and sitting in the Luxembourg gardens in the early morning sunshine eating warm croissants.

I am always on the lookout for great new places to stay in this city and there are many new, stylish boutique hotels to choose from. Hotel Providence has been on my radar for several years, and it’s definitely on my list of where to stay next when I visit Paris. Let me share with you why it’s a great choice.

The hotel is located on a quiet corner in the centre of three different arrondissements - Haut-Marais, Canal St Martin and Beaubourg. This area is full of up and coming art galleries, fashionable boutiques, great restaurants and theatres - in fact you could describe it as rather ‘edgy and cool’.

The hotel is in a beautiful building on a quiet corner that dates back to 1854, and there are a total of 18 rooms. I adore the décor and you could describe it as quintessentially Parisian chic - quirky, authentic and individual. You’ll find rich velvets, vintage furniture, beautifully patterned wallpapers, designer fabrics, vintage lamps, a cosy fireplace and many elegant, thoughtful details such as the custom made bars in every room.

It’s always a bonus to have a good quality restaurant and bar in the hotel you’re staying in. At Hotel Providence you’ll find both here on the ground floor of the hotel. The restaurant offers simple, French dishes and a cosy, informal atmosphere. The bar has low, lit tables and is perfect for an evening drink or two.

Here the staff and service are often described as ‘superb’ and ‘outstanding’ and the atmosphere overall in this gorgeous hotel is welcoming. What more could you ask for in Paris?
